Our Name

Why the name Iduka?

Our name is inspired by the Latin word educare, which is a root of the English word education. Educare means “to educate, to rear, to teach, to bring up, to raise” or “to support.”

Iduka’s goal is to promote college affordability, to provide another financial tool, another means of support, for those for whom a college education might not otherwise be possible. In doing so, we help “to educate, to rear, to teach, to bring up, to raise” the leaders of tomorrow.
